Gestational Diabetes Rant
So I took my GTT the other week and my fasting level was slightly over and my 2 hour test was within range
They have diagnosed with GD because of the fasting one and I have been testing daily now
They have taken bloods to check my A1c level (how my body has handled glucose for the past 3 months) and this was in range
I'm probably in denial but feel like I have been misdiagnosed here and that the reason my fasting level was high on the original test was due to the fact that they didn't have my docs ready for the test and I had to walk round the hospital trying to resolve it myself whilst starving in the heat! Causing me to be stressed!
Anyone else had a similar experience?

I was diagnosed with GDM based on 2 high readings, I tested at home 4 times a day for 7 days. For about a week I was convinced that they had it wrong. I have to test 4 times a day now and my morning fasting level is high basically every day I have been put on insulin. She said it’s more risky to not diagnose because the risks are so high. you could ask to redo the GTT and see what they say x
