Rolling over

My 5 month old is rolling onto her tummy very quickly now. The only problem is she gets so frustrated that she cant move back and starts crying. I put her down to play she flips and cries, I put her in her crib she flips and cries. She was sleeping through the night but ever since she discovered this new skill shes been keeping me up. I have to constantly flip her onto her back. Has anyone experienced this? Any idea on how long this will last? Im tired 😪

Totally normal. Keep practicing during the day. They looove their own reflection so I turn my phone on selfie mode and keep moving it slowly out of eye sight to try and get my guy to roll front to back.

It’ll pass! Probably a couple weeks, but totally normal and part of development.

Mine did this too! Drove me crazy! Lasted about 3-4 weeks before he perfected rolling back

My guy did this too. After about a week he enjoyed being on his tummy for longer periods of time to play (still cries to be flipped back over when he’s over it) and at bedtime he’s started to prefer sleeping on his belly and is actually sleeping longer.

We're in the thick of it too! It's really hard! The extra fuss is really draining. So hard too since you're not supposed to let them sleep on their tummy until they're proficient at rolling off their tummy. Ours learned back to belly rolling at 4.5 months and belly to back rolling at 5.5 months but has not mastered it yet so I'm with you rolling her back 24/7 especially when sleeping.
