Sore on lips

Is it a coldsore? They're easily transferred by people kissing children

Can also be transferred by sharing cups, cutlery, or just touching lips then touching other things that kids touch. I get cold sores, I hate them, for over a week I treat myself as massively contagious, no drink or cutlery sharing, washing my hands if I do much as touch my face. Then no kissing anyone, whether on lips or face. Hard teaching the kids in my life that it's hugs only when I've got a break out x
