We've loved our Guava Roam as a capable outdoorsy stroller. For the kinds of activities you described, we more often have used our baby carriers, honestly, but the Guava stroller has been fantastic on irregular surfaces, too. Because we do so much carrying, I don't know the full extent of it's abilities on rougher surfaces, but I would recommend it as a very solid choice. I had originally considered the Thule Urban Glide 2, and decided I didn't need one quite that intense/expensive, given our use of the carriers, and the Guava folds up smaller than the Thule, which is useful for me. But I've heard good things from people I know who have one. Just as a heads-up, those strollers that can handle more diverse terrain like that also tend to be heavier and a little more unwieldy if you need to take them in and out of the car regularly. We don't use ours like that, so we don't mind. But I know it would affect some people's choices.
I truly believe that you have to match the stroller to YOUR lifestyle so it’s perfect that you already know that!☺️ I was looking at the glide and decided to go with the Uppababy Ridge and we absolutely love it for our lifestyle!! It can handle ANY terrain pretty easy.. we took it hiking up mountains etc. that being said just keep in mind that with any all terrain stroller- they are HUGE so it’s a whole thing to bring them places lol also it won’t fit in one our little car, but fits just fine in our 4Runner.. we have a Doona that we absolutely love, it’s the easier thing that was ever made lol so for now we’re using it until she grows out of it and take the Uppa to adventures and use the doona for everyday life (grocery shopping etc) I hope this help! 🙏🏽 good luck and congratulations!💜
I believe mine is a Graco jogging stroller. I knew I wanted big wheels. And it has not disappointed me. I've taken it on all kinds of terrain and it's done well. The issue with it is that it doesn't fold down very small. We have a car. Its probably classified as a larger car. But the stroller takes up almost half of the trunk. We haven't had much opportunity to be outdoors since having my son. But we have been on several vacations, in cities. It's still a great stroller, but it makes packing difficult. I recently got a cheap cosco umbrella stroller because I thought it'd be easier in stores and easier on me to load and unload when my fiancé isn't with us. That thing sucks. Even on completely smooth surfaces, it's a nightmare.
I love my urban glide! I live on a farm and we walk the farm regularly. I also have an old double bob that is great - I just went on a 2 mile walk around a lake (gravel, rocks, roots...) I HIGHLY recommend replacing your tubes with stop-a-flat tires. They are hard tires that go will never go flat. I got them on Amazon. Take your stroller to a bike store and ask them to install. It's not difficult, just takes a lot of tire irons. (Fell free to message me if you have more questions about this...)
Thank you ladies! I really appreciate the helpful recommendations. I’ll research these models and hopefully find a few stores that have ones on display🤞🏼I’m now draw to the Guava, cause it has a 60 day trial. Happy walking/jogging
I have a 3 wheel jogging stroller, jeep brand. I got it second hand and love it.
I loved our Bob Jogging Stroller! Mind you, that was about 10 years ago, but it was PERFECT in every setting.
Love my Thule Urban Glide 2. Definitely recommend for all the things you say you do. It’s a great stroller!
