Possible late intolerance/allergy
Has anyone ever had a late diagnosis?
My son is 13months going 14.
Has been on formula till 1years old.
Weaning from 5months including cows milk and other dairy products.
From 7months he was prescribed laxido for severe constipation, almost to the point of impaction. Even on laxido would only open bowls once every 2-3daya
At 11months (no changes in diet) he began to have diarrhoea. Not formed 💩 and 2-3 times a day!
There has been mucus, but this fluctuates, and wondered if it had been because of his molars.
Dr has ruled out infection and we have an allergy appointment in November.
HV think it may be intolerance.
Does not appear to have any immediate bowel response when having dairy.
He is gaining weight, no other symptoms, not upset and now 💩 1-2times a day, still not formed.
Today we had large jelly strips (I mean finger thick) of mucus, so will speak to GP again. But just wanted to know if anyone has been in the same boat, or thoughts?
