Baby has been struggling with a cold and upset tummy for what feels like forever to me
At what age would it be okay to give her some chamomile/fennel tea to help with her cold or upset tummy?
We’re doing elderberry drops, gripe water and a warm bottle on her tummy so far
Grateful for any suggestions 🙏

I don’t think it’s advised to give any baby under 6 months anything but milk or formula. I have my son tea when he was a year. It’s always best to ask the pediatrician though.

Your baby shouldn’t have anything other than milk before 6 months and I see yours is 4 months so I wouldn’t give any kind of tea to them. Have you spoken to your doctor about the stomach trouble? What do you mean by upset tummy? Like colic or diarrhoea or something else. I’d speak to your doctor if your worried. Same with the cold. A cold or runny nose shouldn’t last longer than a week or so. If it’s been longer I’d seek medical advise even if it’s just to put your mind at ease.

@sarah we are in the same boat with our 4 month old boy! Seems to have gone on forever x

Babies pass colds within 2 weeks. There’s no way to rush the process. So just let her feel the blues. I know it’s hard, but you have to. When my baby caught a random cold at 4mo, we found out that it was due to his teeth. Hit bottom two came out a few days after the cold came, so that can be a possibility for your baby as well. We used zarbees and saline spray. Also rubbed his chest and feet with vicks. I hope she feels better soon! 🫶🏽

My daughter had a cold, I used the nasal aspirator to suck out the bogey when it was really bad. It went in a week

I give my 9 month old chamomile for teething have been doing it for like 2 months now and he does good with it

I know it sounds crazy but place a cut in half onion in a bowl near her. Try and keep it around all day, it should draw any bacteria from the cold!
