Hi guys, so just like to share how ridiculously stupid I've been. You know the vaccines that they give the babies...
Yeh... Do you know the one that they put in their mouth and it's apparently supposed to make them poop loads and you basically have to be really careful when handling their nappies because if you get any of the virus in you then you will also be pooping yourself...
And u can't kiss them on the lips...
Yes so long story short... that's me right now ...I think at least.
I think where baby has put his fingers in his mouth and then I have touched his fingers and maybe accidentally taken something out from in between my teeth or something
That's basically how it happened
And I only think this because I've not eaten anything that would have made me run to the loo sporadically like at random times in the day (2-3 times ) and today I've done it twice. He had his jabs on Monday at 5pm

I thought that I was washing my hands every time I handled his nappy or touched him... Maybe not then. May e it's coz his hands are in his mouth and I touched his hands

Hmm.. My little girl has had her vaccines today and I have a seriously upset tummy out of nowhere! Nothing in my diet has changed 😳😳😳
EDIT: I’ve been washing my hands after changing her bum, but have been kissing her hands and face all over 😫🙈

I didn't know this about the drops, noone mentioned it to me? I did have an upset tummy around the time he got them but i wash my hands and santise constantly especially when changing nappies so not sure how it would even transfer.

I don’t think it’s possible because it’s such a weakened form of the rotavirus it wouldn’t make you sick. Otherwise the babies would get sick too. There are soooo many bugs around now it’s likely you’ve picked up something else I’m afraid so don’t beat yourself up about kissing your baby.

My GP warned me about rotavirus vaccine said to wash hands properly after each nappy change and we do anyway. Not sure you can get from kissing.

Definitely possible to catch it from baby as we were warned the same. I got it after my baby's 8 week jabs - I think probably from kissing his cheeks after he had been sick
It's uncomfortable but not horrendous so try not to worry. Take some of those tablets that stop Diarrhoea (can't remember the name) if you need to x
