I believe they have a soft spot on the back maybe that’s why ??

The soft spot on the back should be closed by now. Their skull is still shifting so maybe you’re feeling a suture?

they have 2! One on the back, and one on top a little behind their hairline.

I definitely know about that one, I did NOT know they pulsate until I was admiring her hair after she was born & I freaked out😂
