I'm going to loose it if i keep having to wash (2 of each) fitted sheets/mattress pads/blankets every other day!!!
My almost 16 month old daughter has been peeing through her diaper EVERY NIGHT for the last 2ish months. She sleeps flat on her stomach all night from the instant I lay her down, so she always wakes up soaked clear up to her chest, and to the knees of her pj bottoms. I just feel horrible, as it has to be uncomfortable for her. I've tried putting her diaper clear up below her nipple line in the front, doubling up, multiple brands of 'night diapers', and washable "chucks" type pads under her at night (she just scoots off of those)... nothing has worked. I'm not sure if she is too young to restrict her fluid (water) intake a few hours before bed yet. She's also a pretty stocky girl in size 6 diapers already, even though they seem to be loose at the waist. If I size up, my only option is pull-ups now.
Do I restrict her water? Put her in size 7 pull ups at night? Or does anyone have other tricks I can try?!
I'm seriously desperate to stop having to do laundry and remake her bed every other day!!

Size up is the solution, and make sure you're using lots of diaper cream so her skin is protected! I finally started ignoring sizing based on weight and that fixed overnight leaks with my daughter

I had this problem with my little girl I ended up swapping to a bedtime pull up for nights and now we hardly ever get any leaks honestly I was in the exact same situation and was going mad!!! Night time pull ups are a bit more pricey but I shop around when they are on offer and only use it at night!!!

I agree with sizing up. Also a trick I used for my son peeing out of his diaper- put the sheets on the bed, then lay down a big puppy pee pad (or however many you need to cover the whole mattress), then put a big muslin or receiving blanket on top and tuck it down under the mattress. That way she can’t scoot off of it or move the pee pad at night. If she pees, just toss the top blanket, put down new pads and add another blanket. I have about a billion big receiving blankets from Amazon so this saved me from having to wash sheets every day

Size up and put a reusable nappy cover over the top which will contain any leaks meaning only one thing to wash

🤔Do you change her once during the night? Have you tried that? Or does it leak even with a change?

Wool nappy covers. They absorb 4 times their weight in moisture and then naturally deodorise during the day. More people need to know about this

Does she also wear a vest with poppers? If so size up on that too. If it’s too tight with a full nappy it’s just going to leak out x

I had this with my eldest.
I ended up putting him in a nappy with a pull up on top.
He was a very heavy wetter and also slept a really really long time overnight.

Pull ups typically hold less so I wouldn't recommend switching to those. I have heard reusable diapers are very absorbent, maybe try those just for overnight.

I used to have this problem an I stopped putting a vest on him an this really helped has it was happening during the day has well, I couldn’t go a size up has he is already in size 8s

Have you tried sizing up and adding a diaper pad inside ? This increases absorption capacity. We used this technique for a couple of months until our son seemed be peeing less during the night! And Yay for chunky babies, also in size 6 now!

She's 35+ pounds? That's size 6's weight
So if she's not there then they are too big and that's the issue. Pull ups hold less liquid so that won't help
Also does she drink liquids throughout the night? May need a cut off time and no overnight drinks?

Pampers 360. Over regular diaper.

When this started happening to my little boy I changed his vest to a bigger size and that solved the problem!

Do pull ups but if they don’t work for sleeping only try using the swimming diaper as they are water resistant so it might help.

I had the same problem and I fixed the problem putting double nappy and since then she doesn’t wake up wet and I don’t need to do the baby cot every single day

I know I suggested the swimming diapers but also another one is doubling the diapers but putting the one on top back to front aswell could also help maybe

I had the same issue and went for size up and pull ups at night! Worked a treat!

I second doubling up diapers! We've had to do it too and it helps a lot.
Also not to scare you, I have no idea if this might be the issue, but excessive urination especially at night can be an early symptom of diabetes. My son has type 1 and that was the first weird thing we noticed. It could be worth getting her checked out just to be safe as at that age it's very difficult to catch a lot of the other symptoms since they can't communicate them or they just blend in with normal toddler behavior. It can be tested for very quickly at the pediatrician. Again, I don't want you to freak out or anything but just since I have the experience with my son it's always something I think of when I hear things like this and I know a lot of people don't recognize the early symptoms

Definitely size up

Ok, but look at that cutie pie! Are you changing her in the night at all?

I would make sure she doesn’t have a uti and check with her Dr

I’ve seen people recommend putting the nappy on backwards if they are a front sleeper

swim diapers don’t absorb pee. Please do not do this.

wooo just searched it up and thank you for the correction girl cause I damn sure would done it without knowing the dangers. Xx

Thanks a million ladies for all the ideas!!
I don't change her during the night: she sleeps from 7pm-8am, and it would be a fight to get her back to sleep if I woke her up! 😂
I'm going to use up the puppy pee pads I have with a blanket over the top till I run out!
Then I'll either try night pull-ups or some kind of disposable insert (like alot of you recommended)!
Definitely no UTI... she just drinks a TON of water during the day!
I really appreciate all the advice... this is why I love this app!! 🙂💕

thanks for the heads up! She isn't showing any other symptoms, but she is at higher risk because I had GD when pregnant with her. She also has a family HX of type 2 on my husband's side, so it's worth watching. I'm going to bring it up to her pediatrician at her appt in November (unless it becomes more of a concern before then)!

where do you find wool diaper covers? (USA)

She's 29-30 lbs, so the waist seems a little big. But I get them cinched down tight enough, and the indicator line is always wet for the full length of the diaper... even in the back! They are just VERY full. A couple gals said night time pull ups... do they hold more than regular ones?
She doesn't drink anything overnight... just ALOT of water during the day, and her sippy of milk before bed.

Thank you!! Genius idea! I have tons of those blankets too (and 2 boxes of puppy pads), so I'd only be washing them once a week!

pull ups hold less than regular ones and even size 6 seems big on my 35+ pound 2 year old. I would honestly say size 6 is too big and that's the issue but maybe others have better suggestions 🤷🏼♀️

I'm in Australia but most website that sell cloth nappies should have them- or maybe a wool retailer that sells woollen baby clothes

would changing her deffo wake her? Even if you do it while she’s in the bed?
