Has anyone tried this on their LO? My baby is 5 weeks old tomorrow and is currently combi fed with the standard Kendamil formula. He currently has 4oz every 3 hours, but I’m convinced that he’s still hungry despite what he’s currently getting. Apparently goats milk may be worth trying? He’s quite restless all the time and I’m very suspicious that he’s colic and the reviews for goats milk are very positive. Any advice would be appreciated x

If you think he’s still hungry, offer a bigger bottle. We did 6oz bottles early on and eventually increased to 9oz as he grew. He had 5 bottles during the day and 3 at night. Eventually dropped the night bottles when he started sleeping through at 14 weeks but found he needed 6 bottles in the day. He was 93rd centile and gained weight well, health visitor never said anything was a problem x

thank you! How old your was LO when you started feeding him 6oz? X

My daughter is like this, she’s on the normal kendamil. But reading into it because it doesn’t have palm oil or fish oil it doesn’t make them full for as long as for example cow and gate would. But it’s better for them. I haven’t hear anything about the goat milk so I can’t say but everyone who I know who’s babies are on kendamil is all the exact same, it’s like they want more! X

looking back at photos, he probably had 6oz around 2 weeks. I’ve also got photos of him drinking from the 2 + months bottles at 4 weeks so would have had slightly more formula in them. He’s always drank/ate a lot x

You’ll probably need to add an extra oz or two if you think he’s still hungry. Goat milk is easier to digest. I’m currently ebf but looking into getting some formula for backup (I don’t nurse in public, so may be nice to have some formula in handy), I spent hours and days researching on the best formula for breastfed baby. Kendamil goat is probably worth trying if you think your baby has colic?

what formula did u decide was the best ana?

I ended up ordering Kendamil from the UK (with UK flag on them, not the US version)- they’ll be here in a couple of weeks so, I picked up Aussie Bubs goat formula in the meantime and my little one is taking it well! I might just keep buying Aussie bubs after we finish the kendamil cans (once they get here)
