so my little girl was born 1st May.. she will be 6 months 1st November. But 24 weeks is 6 months? So just wondering whether people waiting until 6 months to wean will be going by months or weeks 🤣 I’m desperate to wean my baby as I really enjoyed this stage with my first daughter but went to wait until 6 months

I’d always go by the months. 24 weeks isn’t 6 months as there’s more than 4 weeks in each month😊

You do it by the actual month or 27 weeks. Plus showing all the signs of readiness.

Don't overthink it. If you feel like she has good head control and is interested, give it a go. If she doesn't take to it, wait a couple more weeks. There is no hard cut-off and every baby is different 💛

@tanya I know I know. This is my second so have been through the process. We weaned the first one at 5 month as per doctor recommendation (she had bad silent reflux). They need to be comfortable sitting in a high chair and if you try feeding them and they spit the food out continuously and are just not keen it's worth waiting a bit. That's what I meant with interested

All I was saying that counting months and weeks isn't worth the stress in this instance 😀

Mtly little boy is 4 months and he started having pureed veg at 12 weeks. He was ready bottles were not satisfying him. X
