My LB had a temperature of 39 around 4pm, we gave him calpol which brought his temp down to 37.6 so still a tad high. He's just had a second lot of calpol as his temperature has shot back up to 38.7... should i be calling 111 or waiting to see if the calpol brings it back down?
Only concern is i tested positive for covid a couple of days ago and im terrified I might have given him it ðŸ˜

If you aren’t sure on why he has a fever I would ring 111 as the calpol is good for bringing fever down but if it’s still going back up I would be inclined to find out why. X

For babies under 6 months, any fever over 39 degrees should be a call to your GP or 111 if out of hours. Worth getting him checked over x
We called, got a gp call back who told us only to worry if his temperature is above 39 for 8 hours... feel like that a tad extreme when we thought babies and temperature could be dangerous
