What do they wear 🤣 (don't know gender)

You can dress them in outfits if you want but I think it’s pointless until atleast 3 months.
Baby grows/sleepsuits are the same thing but not just for sleeping in. I have about 20 in newborn & up to 1 month (babies poo & are sick a lot)
And a mix of long & short sleeve vests about 20 again (short for under babygrow, long with leggings ect)
2 woolly hats
1 woolly mittens
Socks aren’t necessary unless wearing trousers so only a couple pairs.

It doesn't help that we don't know what we're having so I don't want to buy all white now as we will want some stuff when we know!
And all shops are different sizes 🙈

my mum said to me that me and my siblings lived in sleep suits / baby grows for the first few months. I have some outfits but i’m probably not going to put him in them unless for photos etc. I don’t see any need in making extra hassle for yourself with outfits and stuff unless you want to.

You could always get white, yellow, oatmeal/brown & navy I find those colours are very gender neutral. We knew we were having a girl first but still loved her in navy & yellow x

Do we need vests for underneath sleepsuits? And if so short sleeves/no sleeves or long sleeves?

Don't need socks then if in sleepsuits? Or scratch mittens as they come incorporated in the ones I have bought.

My thermostat is set to 20-22 during winter in the day

The night I have a couple of 2.5 tog sleeping bags

I’m doing short sleeved vest under baby grow for during the day & night as they’re so tiny, especially seeing as it’s going to be winter.
If you aren’t planning on trousers then no socks. No scratch mits if they’re already built on.

We have some 2.5 & 1.5 tog sleep bags depending on the temp of the room x

Don’t bother with outfits when they’re tiny, it’s such a faff and they need multiple outfit changes in the day anyway from poo/sick etc.
we always used short sleeved vests under babygrows.
Don’t bother with mittens, they don’t stay on and most babygrows have built in scratch mitts anyway.
Don’t need socks with babygrows.
Just a few hats for outdoors, they don’t need them indoors 😊

You can dress them in outfits if you really want to but I never have until they were older, my 2 lived in sleep suits until they were about 3 months old 😂🙈.
I would recommend cardigans and hats though given its winter and they are ideal for going out in the car/pram, mix of vests for underneath sleep suits as well.

Who would be happy to get into "outfits" being born only days before?? No please, mine would be in sleep suits for at least the first 2/3 months, I don't really care. Vests for underneath only if is cold (will probably be in November), hat is not necessary I've been told, hospitals are warm and the house should be cooler that 16° so I doubt he will need any hat, only if going outside. Neither do socks if the sleep suit has the feet, mittens I guess only in the hospital until his nails will get trimmed.
