Dry Skin

Anyone’s newborn got dry skin on their face?
My baby boy is 3 weeks and 4 days old.
He’s got lots of dry skin, that almost looks like peeling on his forehead. I’ve been rubbing a bit of breast milk on it, any other advice/suggestions welcome!

My newborn has dry flaky skin all over his arms and legs. It was on his neck and chest but has eventually fallen off. In the bath I use a flannel/mitt to gently scrub his body and then olive oil balm to soften it up. It will eventually fall off and according to my health visitor is very common in term babies.
My waters broke and we didn’t have a clue they’d gone for a while so we assume he was sitting in a very dry environment for some time and could be contributory as he has a lot of dry skin.

Aww, yeah my son was born 23 days earlier so I wondered if that had anything to do with it. He also had some on his hands, legs and feet too but that seems to have gone and it’s just on his forehead now.
I’m going to bath him tonight as bought 2 new baby bath sponges from Boots earlier xx

My LO is 13 days old and has flaky skin, especially on her feet. Midwife recommended using extra virgin olive oil on it today.
