My 7 month old has been SO miserable for about 2 weeks now. I feel like I’ve tried everything from pain relief for teething etc, lots of walks, new activities, trying to nap more (LOL).
He cant crawl and isn’t really showing any signs of starting any time soon, but gets frustrated when things are out of reach.
He makes this awful whiney MMMMMMM noise from what feels like the second he’s awake til the moment he goes to sleep. He loves his food but even whines throughout feeds too atm, only stopping to open his mouth for more!
The 2 baby groups we’ve been to since he was very little started back up this week after summer, he’s always been so happy at them but at both he’s whinged and moaned his way through them. It was quite embarrassing tbh because he was known as the ‘always happy’ one before, but at both this week he was the most miserable of all the babies by far.
Anyone else’s 7m old having a similar phase? I’m desperate to call it a PHASE and not just have a miserable baby by nature! He’s showing no signs of being poorly etc.
I know it’s hot but we do everything to cool him and he seems fine body temp wise!
Pic of my miserable baby with his usual miserable face … 😂🫠🙃

My LB is EXACTLY the same!! He is 7.5 months old and can’t yet crawl, he can roll into his belly but when things are just out of reach he makes noises like the hulk😂 I’m also hoping it’s just the phase and that he won’t have a wicked temper forever!😂

My LG is 7 months on the 18th and has been the same last 2 days. According to her wonder weeks app she's in a red phase which is crying, clingy and grumpy 😅 it's supposed to last 2 weeks apparently xx

We had this a few weeks ago which we’re fairly sure was around the start of leap 6. Thankfully for us it only lasted about a week.

My little one is 8 months and has been the same. I am putting it down to frustration. He wants to crawl, wants to eat exactly what I'm having, wants to hold my mug.
But he will just whine and moan all day. Sometimes I just take him and set him in his cot which keeps him happy for a bit, or just go and play in his room.
He's currently whining now and going round in circles

Thank god I’m not the only one! He’s still 2 days away from leap 6 but I know it’s only an estimate, so maybe it’s developmental. He’s super clingy too, constantly reaching for me.
He’s about 2 weeks in to being this grouchy little sod and I hope to god it passes soon as he’s driving me round the bend, plus this weather is a joke!
He looks so far off crawling, I think we’re months away tbh. I’m pretty much a human jumperoo atm though so maybe he’s building up the strength… xx

I know the MMM noise your talking about 😂😆. I think mine is going through leap 5 and it should stop on the 12th sept 👍 but I am pretty sure my LB started doing the whiney noise before that…

The MMMMM noise drove me bonkers last weekend. It was constant. It’s tailed off now but holy hell I nearly put earplugs in. Love him dearly but wow this is probably the hardest stage yet for me! x

Also this… why?! Every bottle or sip of water just gets blown out atm 😂😂😂

My lads the same can't crawl.but rolls very clingy an don't know what he wants x

the mmmm as the end sounds like he says mom ! Lol x

Same over here, been going on for weeks

Me too, the past 2 nights I’m really struggling

Omg the MMMMMMMMMM noise!!! Driving me mad. My LB is 8months half way through leap 6, now doesn't like getting nappy changed or clothes changed. Severe tantrums !!

Definitely refer to the wonder weeks app! Luckily (I think), our little boy started crawling but before that it was unbearable!!

it’s worse than nails on a chalkboard after a few hours let alone days!!
Hahaha Jesus Christ the nappy changes and getting dressed, absolute meltdowns. He loves getting undressed though, finds it hilarious his vest coming off over his head.
Strange little creatures at times aren’t they 😂😂😂 x x

I hope it is down to that! I just really hope he enjoys his groups again soon as they were great for us. They’re expensive (!!) so would be nice for him to actually enjoy them again rather than whine his way through them! X

@Stephanie honestly made me chuckle seeing your post, because I knew straight away because that is exactly how I have been describing it to family members. It WILL pass tho because he did the exact same in Leap 5. I hope he comes out of the nappy and clothes changing tantrums tho, I have had to get pull ups because he wriggles about that much I could not get his nappy on correctly and would end up wet! Xx

Omg I’m so glad in not alone! My little boy is usually so happy but the past 2 weeks he’s been so so tearful at basically anything which is so out of character! Been trying to figure out what’s wrong with him😩😂xxx

My little girl went through this at 6 months. I thought the constant groaning sound was going to drive me mad at one point. I'd tried everything. She has snapped out of it now though so rest assured it is just a phase!
