Boyfriend to stepdad/dad

My baby dad moved out a few months ago and has been really inconsistent and is more of a visitor to our daughter than a parent, (she’s 6 and a half months old) my boyfriend who I’ve known for a long time before we started dating has moved in due to a really complicated situation where it’s what made most sense. When do I consider him to be a stepdad or even just her dad (presuming we are long lasting) if he’s the one helping a lot and raising her with me when her bio dad is so absent and just not being a parent at all. Obviously it’s not super important rn as she’s too young to understand any of it but I’m just not sure when to consider it
