Gunk or infection?

Looks like the same thing my son has on that eye. Doctor said something is blocked and eventually it’ll clear on its own. But you can double check with your doctor

Our daughter had this when she was born, they took swabs and said it was a blocked tear duct. The GP said they don't touch them until the child is 2 years old! I think she said the sign of conjunctivitis is redness in the white of the eye as well as the gunk, but I may be wrong

My baby has the same and has had it since birth. Each morning I wipe her eye with water to get the crust out otherwise it upsets her.

My baby had the same issue for a few weeks after birth - blocked tear duct. We started to do massage regularly - like this: https://youtu.be/XoPDsQk1Pys?feature=shared and it cleared up after a few days. Perhaps worth trying.

If you breast feed, try wiping the eye with breast milk regularly, that thing care cure nearly anything 🤣

Thanks all. Took her to the doctors and they’ve given her some drops so hopefully it clears up 🤞🏼
