Help
Someone please help. I’m struggling bad and so is my baby. She is really sick with a bad cough and congestion I’ve been doing every thing under the book from sucking her boogers, humidifier on, sitting while the hot shower runs, Tylenol, baby vapor rub. She coughs the worst at night and neither of us are getting any rest. I hate this so much! My baby is miserable. I already took her to urgent care all they told me was everything looked good and to just keep doing what I’m doing and let it run it’s course I just want to give her medicine to help her sleep 😔 she’s so miserable. She’s about to be 8 months next week….any and all advice please.

Use the oilogic cough and stuffy nose vapor bath and the oilogic sleep and slumber, for the sleep and slumber there is a spray and a vapor bath, shampoo, and body wash. Other than that i know its hard but ur doing great and really everything u can to help her. I hope she gets better soon
Do you breastfeed or breast pump? Sometimes, the extra antibodies from mom helps. I know when I was sick with the flu/fever.. my newborn (2 months old) suprisely didn't get that sick, no fever, just congestion. I used the frida nose suckered thing, and that relieved my baby. I also had her elevated on the bobby. Give her more fluids/milk at a time, even if it's just a couple of ounces to keep her hydrated.
I unfortunately am not breastfeeding her anymore 😔 I wasn’t making enough…I also use the frida nose sucker it’s helped a lot but still seems she has a lot more in her. Thank you definitely going to give her water today to help.

Dont be hard on urself for not breastfeeding, im actually in the same boat u are with breastfeeding. I wasnt making enough so i was supplementing with formula at first but then i was pretty much on e all the time and she was just using me as a passifire. It happens sometimes and its nothing to feel bad about, some moms dont breastfeed at all. What really matters is that your baby is fed it doesnt matter if its formula or breastmilk
@Samantha if you have the saline mist spray, that will help loosen up her boogers before you suck it out. If she has a lot, I would prob do it every 2-3 hrs. One thing I forgot to mention was that when my baby was congested, she only wanted to be held upright, so I was baby wearing her all day.. she had nasal drip and was coughing as well.. not sure if that's an option for you.
thank you for that. I needed to see that. Times like these I feel bad I’m not breast feeding to help her immune but hopefully with her being sick and this passing it’ll make it stronger. You’re definitely right tho fed is always best.
yes I’ve been doing that as well. I’ll for sure keep her upright, I’ve been keeping her up a little when she sleeps too to help with the coughing. Thank you.
yes she does but thankfully today she seems a lot better! Thank god😭
