Hi, I’m about to move to Polegate at the end of this month and I’m looking into registering at a local GP. Does anyone have any particular recommendations for good GP surgeries on the area?

There is a gp surgery in polegate highstreet - you’ll just register there with your address. You normally get a place at one closest to you rather than choosing :)

From the local Facebook groups they both seem terrible and Downlands recently score very badly on a survey of sussex surgeries for long wait times. Thats the one on the high street. Ive been going to Manor Park opposite Harvester for my midwife appointments and they all seem pleasant on reception but currently still with my old GP in town.

I am at Downlands on the high street, it’s pretty standard with long waiting times to get appointments etc. I also go to Manor Park for my midwife appointments, but have only interacted with the midwives. Think all GPs are the same at the minute so would just pick whichever is closest to you!

I'm with manor park and it's no better than downlands I hear xx

@Clare I picked as.downlands is closer but I picked manor .

I would save yourself some time and not go with Downlands x

Manor Park seem good for appointments for our wee boy. We’ve never had problems getting an appointment.

@Karen C apart from having to beg to be seen. Midwifes were so mad and told me not to even bother with contacting them anymore and straight to triage if preg related as I ended up in a ketosis state and hospitalised. Guess it'd different for everyone else . Only other problem with manor park is its all locums so it's likely to be a different gp each time
