Night feeds

My baby slept longer than I could. Passed out at 8pm and was still out cold at 430am. I panicked and woke to feed because the doctor said don't go more than 8 hours without a feed. I'm wondering if I could've just let him go. Anyone have a baby that could sleep forever sometimes? - this has never happened before. He does happen to have a stuffy nose so not feeling good could be a factor. He is 8 weeks old.

Extra sleep is needed when they are sick, it helps their bodies fight off whatever virus or bacteria that is making them sick. I just wouldn't let this happen regularly since baby needs to eat

@Anna i guess my big question would be. What if I didn't wake him and he went 12 hours. I doubt it cuz he's such a chunker and loves milk and I'd have been due to wake at the 10 hour mark (6am) to pump and get my big girl ready for school

Never wake a sleeping baby!

I personally wouldn't let my baby sleep for more than 8 hours at this age intentionally, but it's what you are comfortable with.

My 10 week old has been sleeping 8-9 1/2 hours without eating and I just let him sleep
