My baby is combo fed and in this heat (32 degrees my side of London), I give him tiny sips of boiled water that has been cooled in the fridge. At 4 months, he knows it’s not milk but takes tiny sips then pushes it away.

Your breast milk will adapt and become more watery to help keep babies hydrated in the heat. They do not need additional water if they are EBF. Offer feeds regularly.

I give my baby water from 2 months old because he was thirsty straight after a bottle and he was fine it was boiled water and it was only the tiny bit of it in his bottle

Mine is over 5mo and has been taking sips of water for a few days now. It’s hella hot- formula fed and a tiny bit of purée every other day. I think in moderation it’s fine, so many of us have had water/clear soup (eastern European thing) given to us before 6months and we’re ok

Water is safe, limited amount tho. My great grandma told me that everyone gave their babies water for hydration back in the day and all was good x
