Foods!

Hi everyone! I’m having a lot of anxiety about foods, I usually eat things and then search up after if they are safe to then find out it’s not due to salmonella/listeria. I’ve got a pregnancy diet app but it’s not very accurate.
What is the risk of salmonella/listeria in things such as home made ice cream from stores? I ate some tonight from a well known ice cream place but now can’t stop worrying about getting unwell and miscarrying!
Any help would be appreciated ❤️

I would listen to your body! If you fancy something have it. Enjoy it and try not to worry about it after, the worrying and being scare are worst than the food. But understand with my first pregnancy I was at the beginning really scared and then I stop! This one? I eat what I feel and eat it with joy. Plus the first trimester is important be careful, now baby is strong and safe!

Hi Madi,
I was exactly like you in my first pregnancy, but am way more relaxed this time around, but I agree with Kate.
For your reference, things I’m eating this time around, that I avoided last time
- sushi (local family store that make rice fresh daily- only cooked meat and veg- no raw seafood)
- soft cheese- I make sure it’s pasteurised and not blue, but I’m eating brie for example.
- deli meats that have been cooked (ie salami on pizza)
It comes down to you, and your comfort level, but that ice-cream is very low risk.
