What’s best for hayfever during the day

My 2yo seems to have hayfever I called the doctors a few months ago they confirmed it sounded like it.
Runny nose
Watery/itchy eyes
Sneezing
No cough

After I called the weather changed so I didn’t act on it
(I’ve never had hayfever and don’t really know much about it, in terms of what’s best for it. I gave Piriton Syrup last night but not sure how much that helped cause I was told give it at bedtime due to it causing drowsiness.
She’s woke but with the same symptoms
Should I still use Piriton during the day? Or can I use calpol or ibuprofen?

Is there anything else people can suggest?

Hope everyone has a lovely day🌻

I would use piriton as labelled which I think is 2.5ml twice a day with X amount of hours in between but please check the box.

Vaseline around the nose to create a barrier I think helps as well x

I would say baths in the evening before bed to try and get rid of any irritation.. like pollen on the skin / clothes.. and just have a muslin to damp with water to wipe the eyes if it gets bad x
