Heat!
Hi! my little girl is 5 weeks today and i know it’s so hot but she’s drinking less i’ve text the HV and waiting for a reply but has anyone else had this issue? i’ve got fans on and she’s in just a nappy but i can’t get my flat under 28 degrees it’s so warm!

My nearly 7 week old is drinking less as well. I had the same worry yesterday but he ended up having a bigger bottle when it cooled down. Only had 16oz so far today 🙃
My six week old is in the same boat too. Definitely drinking less in this heat!
My little one is 7 weeks and he seems to drink less during day feeds in heat. Sometimes he will only have 2 oz so I will offer more after a couple more hours. Doesn't always take it.
I am also offering small amounts of cooled boiled water between feeds so he isn't dehydrated.
As long as they are no dehydrated I'm sure it's ok.
My six week old had less than usual today! Glad she's not the only one. She's okay in herself and is drinking just not to the extent she usually does xx
Luckily my 4 week old is happy to drink my expressed milk straight from the fridge so he’s been lapping it up in this heat! I notice he wakes less for feeding during the night but during the day he’s still taking a lot xx
Skin to skin is babies best friend in this heat, although unpleasant for us! Will keep them cool and encourage them to feed!
