Combi feeding

Swap a breastfeeding session for a formula feed. And increase bottles over a couple of days :). Try not to overcomplicate it.

I'd say stick to one branded bottle, it takes time for your baby to get use to having something diffrent. Also don't expect them to finish a who 6oz straight off. Breastfed babys stomachs are much smaller as they only take what is required. So start off 2oz then if still hangry offer boobie.

Me and My Husband made the decision to combi so we do 2oz of formula made up then cooled in the fridge added then 1oz breast milk to the formula before warming up so this way our LO was still getting both. She seems to enjoy this....

Please be kind to yourself aswell momma this isn't going to be an easy journey 4months of EBF to now adding in formula will take its tole on you.. I know it did for me xx

its great to hear your perspective! Would you mind me asking why it was difficult/ took its toll on you? Is it that little one would find jt difficult to process formula/ rejects it?

@Ekta Patel Leung, my LO would just scream and scream at the bottle wouldnt take a latch and would only want breast. After 1 monty of continuing to try £150 spent on bottles we finally found MAM not a brand I had hurd of but everyone was saying its flat not round and when LO is on the breast your nipple doesn't remain round its flat. So 12 days of introducing this bottle she would just lick and move her tongue around then finally she took to it like a charm now where on 4 bottles maybe 5 a day and boobie in-between.

But I'd feel like a failure my husband would say just keep trying she will take it don't offer boobie for hours we would try and she would just fall to sleep. the one day we argued and I said he knew what breastfeeding ment to me and how much I didn't want to use formular (nothing against it) just my preference and he just kept saying like I have to return to work in 7 months what if my lo still won't take a bottle.

But I am so glad I didn't give up, but my oh my the mom guilt of she hasn't fed in 5 hrs and she's Just gone to sleep should I wake her and give boob or wait and try again with the bottle and you know its hard but even HV said stop offering straight away she will learn and she will do it..
