Not growing enough

There are three reasons why babies do not gain weight: not taking in enough calories, not absorbing calories, or burning too many calories.

Was baby in a higher percentile for weight before this? My baby is in 99th percentile and was 22 lbs at her 6 month appointment and now at just 9 months is 23-24 lbs but she is just evening out now since she grew so fast in the beginning. As they move more and start crawling it’s normal for their weight to plateau and not gain as much but I know my baby specifically was very big so it wasn’t a concern at all with her ped. Talk to your ped about it though for sure if you’re worried but if your baby is still happy and healthy and hitting milestones then I wouldn’t worry

Me and my husband are both petite and baby was born at 70th percentile. He consistently maintained around 50th until 6 months, now dropped to 26th percentile. But he is happy and energetic all day.

Their growth slow down after 6 months. As long as they meet their development milestones and otherwise healthy, you don't have anything to worry about. My first daughter is 5 and a half but she fits in size 4T. She didn't put on much weight since 6 months old. She's so smart and active. Her baby sister who is now 9 months old, hasn't put on much weight or height since 7 months old. She is eating and drinking a good amount. She meets her development milestones.
