I’ve had 4 rounds of IVF, resulting in only 4 eggs, and 2 blasts. The latest I’ve had 1 follicle with no egg in it. Due to speak to our consultant and my partner and I have decided against donor eggs so I’m really sad that this is it. I’m finding it so hard that people around me are pregnant and it’s something I can’t do. I know I probably need therapy but whilst I’m still paying for IVF it’s not an option I can afford.

I’m really sorry your going through this. IVF is such an emotional journey. I’ve just completed 2.5yrs of unsuccessful IVF and initially was against donor eggs and my partner also. It’s not a route we ever wanted to go down but so many people have told us about epigenetics and that the pregnancy plays a huge part on the genes so the woman carrying plays a big part with it. It’s a route we are now looking into but I understand it’s not for everyone. I hope your clinic is able to offer you some support. x
thank you Maz. I hadn’t thought about seeking therapy via work but will do so. That’s a great idea. Yes, I’ve spoken with my partner. We may consider adopting but we won’t rush. We are hoping to try more ivf as we have a package but i am preparing that they will say there’s no chance without donor eggs.
thank you Poppy. Maybe it’s something I should look into more. I really hope it works for you x

Thanks 😊x
