Hey.
How is everyone coping to sleep during this heat wave?
I've had about 2-3 hours sleep per night last few nights due to the heat.
Our upstairs temp is 28° and that's with fans on. I had to have a cold shower at 2am last night as felt sick from the heat and I worry about baby being too hot.
Any tips?

i have really struggled for past few nights too slept 4 hours max and then tried to make up for the sleep in the day time but still couldnt sleep its been awful i cant wait for it to cool down x

Baby won’t get too hot, don’t worry about that. Just stay hydrated. I also find a wet towel around the wrists and neck nice, and one over your feet. Praying this weather breaks soon though, it’s bloody horrible.

Hot water bottle in the freezer. Wrap in a tea towel for bedtime x

I make my partner sleep in the spare room or sofa and have the fan whacked on directly on me. Sleep with little clothing and have a cold shower before bed. Not the perfect solution tho

Ugh this heat is disgusting isn't it!
I can't wait for it to be over! I've been plaiting my hair and having a cold shower before I get into bed and drenching my hair with cold water then laying infront of the fan with cold wet flannels over my chest and back of my neck with all the windows open, blind up all through the night which really helps xx

It’s the worst ever. Especially now Baby is getting bigger. Hopefully it cools down!

I’m working in a school. They’ve got me on supply cos I’m leaving at half term. I’m currently covering in the hottest room in the school with 33 kids. It’s impossible 😑

It's awful! I'm suffering with restless legs too, which one hot baths seem to help! So not nice ATM!

My other half cracked it this weekend. If you got 2 windows it's easier but can still work with one. Open both, put the fan I front of one pointing out the window, it blows the warm air out, then it will draw in the cooler air through the other window as it creates negative pressure. Managed to get it down from 28 to 22 in the bedroom in an hour. Love my new build in the winter but it is hell in the summer 😂 😂

Slept with a small fan aimed at my face all night. No covers but sweating into my pregnancy pillow 🙈

I am struggling 30 weeks. Praying for some rain 😩

girls its just started raining where i live i hope you get some rain too x

I ended up dampening a towel and sleeping with that on me infront of a fan after 3 nights of no sleep. Worked a treat

I've just had a fan on me constantly. Seen a few people recommend a hot water bottle in the freezer though including one comment on here and people swear by it so that's going to be my next try! X
