Has anyone successfully moved house with a little one? Looking at moving sooner than we initially planned as we’ve been having issues with our neighbours and our perfect house has came up for sale so looking to sell ours potentially……. just anxious as I know how stressful it is without a baby looking for some positive stories 😭

We moved when our baby was 3 months old, we did pay for a removal firm and had a couple of family members help. His nan looked after him while we packed vans and cars up and then when we got to the new house I looked after our little rascal while everything was brought in, he did nap for about an hour which helped as i managed to empty a couple of boxes with essential bits and then the first night we literally just put babies travel cot up and slept on a mattress on the floor. It actually worked really well, unpacking definitely took a lot longer but we just did it one room at a time and didn't put any pressure on getting it sorted straight away xxx

We moved twice in just over 2 months when our second daughter was a newborn. Our landlord evicted us due house sale while we were waiting for our new house to be ready. So we had her on 22/3, on 30/4 we moved to my parents and put most of our stuff in a storage unit and then on 2/7 we moved into our house.
It wasn’t that bad tbh. As she was younger she sat in her bouncy a lot, I just had to break off to feed her etc. It took us longer to unpack but certainly wasn’t impossible.
I’d just suggest having someone watch baby on the day you move if you can, using a travel cot as a playpen if you don’t have one and just doing it slowly. For most rooms we were living out of boxes and just prioritised rooms. So kitchen first, bathroom, kids room, our room, living room sort of thing and didn’t stress that it wasn’t perfect quickly xx
