Here are some things which helped me with postpartum recovery. 1) Fridamom ice pads 2) Witch hazel spray/foam/Wipes 3)Upside down water bottle for cleaning down under 4) Make and eat lots of protein balls with dates, oats, flaxseed, chia seeds. 5) Support belt or postpartum "shapewear"

The maternity ice pack pads that you can just crack and shake to activate really helped me, especially in hospital.

As has said:
Witch Hazel pads
Peri bottle
Protein balls definitely went down a treat too.
Water bottle to keep up with hydration
Maternity pads - I put aloe vera on some and froze them and then added the witch Hazel pads on top too. So soothing!
(Nipple cream if breastfeeding, in case of cracking/bleeding while you and bub work on a deep latch)
I also opted for bodyshort underwear which were super comfy and not constricting.

Also other things I recommend are

- nursing bras
- nipple cream
- pregnacare new mum tablets
- comfortable pjs (dresses is much easier) and comfortable home clothes and nothing to tight and make sure the top/dress is easy to open for breastfeeding or skin on skin time.
- stretch mark cream
- cold packs
- my expert midwife spritz for bits
- nursing pillow
- also make sure you’re drinking plenty of water x

Tip for underwear: I bought a few pairs of men's boxer in plain white cotton instead of buying disposable maternity wear. They were very comfy and sat above the scar and could also be worn as shorts around the house and pj bottoms :)
If BF I'd recommend
-nipple cream (don't go crazy like me, one tub was enough)
-cotton breast pads as they fit very well in bras and are soft to the touch (Boots has some and they're great)
-nursing bras, check Vinted as you will find brand new ones for a fraction of the price
-muslins, you'll use them for everything
-baby snot sucker - to free their nose, another mum recommended this to me and it was a lifesaver and something I'd never think about

And reusable breast pads. Lansinoh do great ones. They are breast shaped instead of just circles x
