Mentally detaching from a 5 year relationship

Is it bad that I am mentally breaking up with my boyfriend/baby daddy before I break up with him?? Our baby is 6 months, we moved in together almost two years ago. And been together 5 years in total. He is lazy, ignores me, anytime we have a discussion he walks away, never wants to communicate, plays his game or is on his phone as soon as he comes home and would stay on there until he goes to sleep, if I don’t ask him to do anything, which he consideres “nagging” “bitching”. I don’t want to kick him out with no where to go, but I also want him to have an eye opener or something, he is getting to comfortable just ignoring our fights and then pretending everything is fine and sweeping it under a rug and not changing anything or communicating about anything that bother me. Today I just ignored him like he does to me and he seams at peace and we have not said anything and I’m upset. He seems like he’d be happier without me and Ide be better off knowing I’m in it alone, so I don’t expect his help. (Side note I also work and then come home and I’m straight to mommy mode) idk im looking for advice/venting.

I think that you accepting that and no longer fighting for it means you don't believe it is worth fighting for, and when something is no longer worth fighting for, the battle is lost. You can't fight for something you don't/ no longer believe in. It is important that we lead by example and that we don't just submit when something is wrong. If you have done all you can do, he is now the one that needs to put the effort into fixing. He might need that eye opener, but be prepared for him not to try. If he doesn't, it may be really painful, but you will know that it was not meant to be. The sooner you have that knowledge, the sooner you will heal from it. I hope everything works out in the end, no matter what happens. Please feel free to message me if you need to talk.

Going through a similar situation. Leaving doesn’t help much, in my case. I’ve left and he changed and we patched things up but now we’re following this path again. Following for advice too
