Christmas

Sensory toys, Priya and Peanut are good I've bought them for friends before when they have had babies as they do a newborn Sensory box.
I don't see the point in toys as mine will be 4-6 weeks old depending when they arrive.
Also anything you haven't bought like we haven't gotna highchair yet but I've asked someone to get us one for Xmas, or things you actually need, next Christmas will be completely different xx

Ive just brought stuff that she will likely use/need during the yr and she wont get presents again until Nov. So like rattles, some books, stacking cubes, bath toys, sensory toys, shape sorter etc. None of it has been expensive just little bits and bobs xx

Nothing. They’re too young to remember. Already spent thousands lol. Will hopefully do a christmassy photoshoot though x

I have 7 kids to buy for and my parents. I don’t have the money this year to be spending out either so I’ve decided if I see a little sensory toy I will get that but nothing else. I have also told family not to bother with toys as she won’t remember but knowing them. They will likely buy a toy or an outfit or something as we did for a baby that was a month old last year x

I haven’t really bothered got a Christmas Scentsy for this pram but I don’t see the point he won’t understand and I know all my family will buy for him anyway x

Personally at that age I think it’s completely unnecessary they’ll be asleep most of the day and too young to play with proper toys! You’ve got plenty of years ahead to be buying presents.. when they can actually remember but of course it’s entirely up to you. It’s just my personal view.

Not getting much at all, since she will only be just over a month old and won't have a clue! Sorting my 12 & soon to be 5 yr old out as they'll remember :) i'm on mat allowance too, so won't be able to get too much anyway!

Nothing really. We have everything from the last child (she's 2) I didn't buy anything for my first coz she was only 5 months at the time.
We opened a savings account though.

Just get some sensory toys and clothes. Don't need anything else - if you need to buy.

i’m going to get my little one a play mat with a toy arch as this will be good to encourage tummy time. also i can decide during that first month if there’s anything that i’ve forgotten in the initial prep for baby that would benefit us both so i’ll add anything else i need for him as a christmas present aswell. but for me i’m going to wait until after he’s born to buy his christmas presents otherwise it just feels like another thing i’ve brought for his arrival

I don’t think anything other than maybe something cute to wear or a toy. Telling family to just get nappies and wipes or something similar unless after baby is here we work out there is something else we need! :) xx

Not much, but enough for a stocking, I have a 7 yr old step son, who will be very confused as to why Father Christmas didn't get baby sister anything.
Grandparents are likely to get a few bits she'll need in the next few months. High chair for example.

My grandma was asking what i wanted for xmas for my little boy and i said i didnt want to go overboard as he wont remember it this year - she is getting me a seat thing where he can use it from 3 months to 3 years so will be practical for him - ive bought some teethers and a christmas day outfit so far 🤣 xxx

We’re not getting her anything this year she will have no understanding of Christmas, and we would prefer to save the money to make memories with her and our family. The same way we’ve told our family that we will only be purchasing for children this year and not adults☺️x

We'll be asking family/friends to get books and write a message in the front page for her instead of cards. If they want to buy a gift then something she can use from 0-1 so we don't need to buy when the time comes 😊

I won't be getting mine anything and family have said they will likely just buy him clothes. But I've said not to as I have 16 month old twin boys as well so have more than enough clothes for this baby for a good 2 years😅

Just me that’ll be buying as much as I do for my toddler then😂😂 no one tell their dad that’s the case🤣

I’m probably going to get a play gym type thing and a sit me up maybe some teething toys, not much

Baby is due 25th November so I’m the same. I think I will get her play area thing to lie on and play when she’s a little older but other than that not much to buy her. Family I will probably ask for money so can get her something when she is older x

im the same 🤣 i no she wont understand but i just cant buy her nothing, i no haha. I will also have a 23 month old at christmas and they will both have stockings from father christmas and presents from us. She can play with the stuff as she gets bigger thru the year 🤣

I hadn't really until he said he'd have to write her letter to Santa for her as she won't write yet. 🤦🏻‍♀️💛 so I'll just do a few stocking bits I think!

@Gabi oh bless him. Yeah I've just said to my partner we will get a named stocking once we know what the baby is and just get some bits that will fill that so she can open them on behalf of the baby!

Also think about classes you might want to do. With both of mine we attended Sing and Sign, it was somewhere between £60-80 pounds a term. Many people like swimming with their little one - might be a gift idea for the grandparents.

I would go with nothing as they haven't a clue but I have a near 3 year old who will think Santa's left them out 😆 So we are doing some outfits, sensory toys xx

i think our family are getting him things so i’m not bothering. i may get some sort of sentimental gift but realistically it’s for me because he won’t appreciate it until he’s older 😂

Nothing! This Christmas I am more than happy for the family to buy but I have said to my partner that this year we should focus on his 12 year old son.
For years now we have only got for the kids and a very small token for adults (I'm the last to have a kid in my family) last year we got the adults "paper aeroplane making sets" so we could all battle 😉 so much fun but only cost £10 for the full family.
We're all about the memories and not the money in our family

I got things like a small wooden nativity and a Christmas book to have as keepsakes. I also got her a water mat and some sensory toysand will do the same for my second child (both late Nov babies)

She's getting my boobs as a all u can eat buffet & thats plenty a present this year!
