Sick / bile?

Is your baby breastfeed? My little girl had this a couple of weeks ago while I was at the HV 8 week checkup. She said she had never seen anything like it and called the infant feeding team who also couldn’t give an answer. I was just told to monitor it but it’s never happened again. Sorry it’s not much help but don’t think it’s anything to worry about!

they said it was probably due to something I ate but maybe not if your baby is bottle fed 😂 they didn’t seem concerned at all really though, worth asking at your checkup and you might get a different answer x

My baby had this and I had to go get him checked when I went to the doctors, they took all his observations and everything was normal. They didn’t have any concerns but it does say on the NHS website to ring 111 and ask for advice if yellow bile as it can signify a blockage if it carries on x

it actually happened a couple of times over 2/3 days, I took him to the walk in centre twice after seeking advice from 111.

He has had it since but very mildly, I just put it down to a bit of bile from some kind of reflux x

what did the walk in centre say? Reflux? X

they’d basically said it was just stomach acid/bile from when their stomach is empty, bit like what adults get when they throw up when they have nothing in their stomach too. He was only 8/9 days old when it happened and was being fed whenever he wanted it so unsure why it happened but it hasn’t happened since *touch wood* x
