Hey, I’m suffering with really bad headaches on a daily, I’ve had tests ran at the doctors and everything is fine, I’m 18 weeks and queried preeclampsia and the dr said I have nothing to worry about.
I just can’t function on a daily with these awful headaches, aside from keeping hydrated, dark room, sleeping it off, migraine caps and cool compresses, does anyone have any advice? I’m desperate 😫

Are you eating enough ? Besides being hydrated, the only other thing I could suggest is making sure you’re eating enough and frequently

Have you tried cocodamol. Safe during pregnancy that’s the only thing that took the edge off my migraines. Also using night shift/ night tint on ur devices that helped a bit too. Awful but mine did ease later in pregnancy x

trying my best, just not got a great appetite, little and often I’ll try stick to!

I’ll have a look into cocodamol thank you, just worry don’t you with taking medication pregnant x

This happened to me in my first pregnancy, I suffered with migraines anyway in my teens. Sadly I just waited it out, and they did subside towards the 3rd trimester. it’s the most horrible thing! Since I had my baby I still suffered, so I went on medication. I’m pregnant again, 5 weeks and I have them but won’t take cocodomols like I would on a daily basis, because I’d prefer to not medicate 😫 I hope they stop for you soon. X

I know I worried too but it is completely safe. They only say in the last few weeks of pregnancy to try and stay away from it because it can make them a little bit sleepy after u give birth i think. But I took it about twice a day for a few days a week from weeks 17-24 and my bubs is all good xx

Magnesium hun xxx don’t ask me how I know this but I do 😂 get magnesium oil, it’s better absorbed and spray it on legs and feet and rub it in
It won’t hurt anyway and is very beneficial

I’m 6 months pp and have had terrible headaches. Been checked out too. Think for me it’s tension and lack of sleep. We’ve had a regression for 7 weeks then now teething. I’ve been doing simple neck exercises and seeing a chiropractor. I know your situation is different as you’re pregnant. Hope you feel better soon. X

My doctor recommended taking magnesium complex vitamins and ever since I started them I haven't gotten any more cluster headaches or migraines..

This is me! Im 36+2 weeks and have had migranes throughout my whole pregnancy so far. I never suffered them before but they have eased off the last couple of weeks.
Have they checked your iron levels? Mine started to ease slightly when i started taking iron tablets. My midwife said its also the hormonal changes going on too.
I've found using that using one of the forehead sticks with menthol in it has helped!

Could
Be lack of iron?

Iron levels have been checked had a couple blood tests to test various levels, all fine! Thanks everyone for replying :) I’m gonna have a go at magnesium and menthol forehead sticks x
