Fury BFF’s

I have a ragdoll kitten who is 6 months old today, & he absolutely adores my littlen. Celine will be 17 months old on the 22nd Sep, & I’m convinced she has autism, not to mention, she has global delay, so she doesn’t really interact with my other two cats. But with Alfie, you can tell they have a bond. He will lie under her highchair while she’s having her feed, & he will sit on top of her Walker with her while they both watch TV. I’ve noticed just how gentle he is with her, & it makes me wonder if he senses it? I’ve read that ragdolls are the best cats to have around children with autism due to their docile nature, so I guess that could be apart of it. But he’s just so good with her. I can’t wait to see these two grow up together, I just know they’re going to be the best of friends.

So my question is, do your littlen’s have a fury BFF? I’d love to hear stories. I grew up with my own fury BFF, my dog, Duff. We would go on lots of adventures together, & now I get to see my little girl grow up with a fury BFF 🥰

Sooo cute!! So nice that they have a lovely connection 🥰 I have 2 Ragdolls, they’re lovely cats. Mine aren’t overly fussed with my little one but are very gentle and love a supervised stroke from him 😂

Aww thats adorable 😍 animals are very clever and can sense alot in humans. My elder cat has not left me alone since I became pregnant and will meow the house down if he can't see me or sit on me (which is getting harder with bump growing) I'm hoping my baby can build a bond with my cats like this x

- yeah, they’re great cats. I always wanted a ragdoll, & finally decided to get one a few months ago. He’s already best friend with Celine, my Bengal, & my bf 😂

- I’ve heard stories about how cats & dogs can sense the baby inside your tummy. They’re really good at hearing, so maybe they hear the babies heartbeat? I’m sure your cat will adore your baby once they’re born 🥰

- in sure they will. I think it’s just in the Ragdolls nature to be gentle, I’m pretty sure my other cats wouldn’t be as nice if she grabbed them the way she grabs Alfie. I just keep telling her no, & then show her how to stroke him gently 😊

- that picture of him in the cotbed with her is in the living room. It’s where she naps during the day, & I don’t leave them alone together, as I’ve heard stories of cats lying across babies faces. I don’t think Alfie would do that, but I still don’t want to chance it. I only allow him near her like that if I’m in the room watching. But none of the cats are allowed upstairs, & I keep them away from her actual cot ☺️

he’s amazingly docile considering how much lil is in his face she starts of gently poking him before grabbing tufts of fur, his ears (she’s obsessed with the fur in his ears) poking his eyes, nose etc pull a whisker of him today 🙈 and he didn’t once try and bite or scratch her he did give me a bite it’s like he knows she’s still learning

- pets are more understanding than we think a lot of the time. All we can do is teach out littlen’s to be kind & show them how to be gentle when petting our fur babies
