Anxiety over baby’s health !!

Is anyone else so anxious and worried about every little thing their baby does. My little one is 2 weeks old today and has started sleeping with her mouth open, according to Google this is not normal and could mean blocked airways or congested sinus but I have used the fridababy snot sucker and nothing seems to come out. She also sounds quite grunty and has heavy breathing when she sleeps. She has also started choking when taking her bottle and no matter how much she gets burped as soon as she is laid down on a flat surface she will have spit ups, even if it’s been over an hour since she had her bottle, could this be reflux???

I just feel like I’m over thinking things and worrying for no reason but I also don’t want to overlook anything that could potentially be a problem😭

I have all these issues, my baby is 2 weeks tomorrow and I had health visitor round today, she said it sounds like silent reflux and to go doctors as they might be able to prescribe something, keep baby sat up right for 20 mins after bottles and to maybe change bottle as it may help x

I have started feeding her in an upright position and holding her up for about half an hour after a bottle but it hasn’t made a difference. It’s mostly in the night when I lie her back flat in her cot she starts to have spit ups and then she has a big wet patch on her mattress under her cheek😢 I don’t have my next health visitor coming until next Tuesday so I’m not sure wether to wait and speak to them or if I need to get her checked out before then

Try raising the top of her mattress slightly. Either a towel or slim book underneath should do the trick. I know other Mums who have done this for reflux and it has made a big difference.
Perfectly normal to have major Mum anxiety, I know I'm gonna be the exact same. Trust your gut though and if you're not happy, speak to your GP or text your HV. X

our next to me bed has a tilt function but I’ve seen some people say that it’s not safe to have them sleep at a slight incline as they could roll down more easily so I was sceptical to do that but I might give it a try tonight and see if it makes a difference
