41 weeks and getting more and more anxious

I’m in the same position, my baby has been measuring big and was estimated at 7lbs 8oz at 36 weeks. I was looking to try and go naturally but had a sweep on Tuesday and nothing so far other than a bit more cramping and a severely aching pelvis. I booked an induction for this weekend(when I’ll be 40+3) as I just can’t take the pain when I’m walking or rolling over any more

40+2 here and no signs!

Yeah I’m trying to take it with pinch of salt but there was a lot of scare talk At beginning and now it’s like nothing.

I would love to go natural but I can’t see it happening at this point and I’m just scared somethings gonna happen now 😣

Sorry your in so much pain , I just can’t sleep. Gonna try and have another sweep tomorrow but that was so horrible last time x

I'll be 41 weeks on Sunday and also measuring big but have read loads of evidence based stuff around big babies and actually the biggest risk is being told that baby's measuring big, and more issues arise from intervening than from babies size. However I also totally get the doubts that sneak in at this stage as I also wasn't expecting to get to 41 weeks! Anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks is normal.
I've also been using lots of affirmations to help stay calm xx

I got to 42+2 with my first and it was not the right thing to do, he was fine in the end but we both got an infection and he pooed in the womb which can be dangerous. I kept putting off the induction as I wanted natural but I actually think the induction was so much better as it was all controlled and I also had a controlled epidural before I even started the contractions… my birth was fine and he came out naturally with no interventions in the end. My only regret was not having the induction sooner as it was dangerous to leave it so late x

I’m measuring big as well from the beginning 97 centile now. And currently 40th week today and no sign whatsoever. I’m a bit anxious too on 40+3 I booked my sweep. If its not gonna work out thinking to starting induction in 41th week. It’s been 9 months and never thought the end will be that complicated. Hope all gonna be ok for each of us!

How did Labour go for you guys?! I’m currently 41 weeks with baby measuring 97th for abdominal and 95th for head at 36 weeks 😩. Booked to get induced tomoz as had two failed sweeps so far. Would love to hear how it ended up going with you ladies. Xx

@Phoebe I'm now 42+1 been on induction ward since yesterday so no labour experiences yet! Hope things go OK tomorrow, take Earphones eye mask pillows blankets snacks and things to do! Xx

@Phoebe hope things are going well for you! Baby arrived not long after I replied and was a positive experience, just wanted to reassure that it absolutely can be even with a very overdue big baby, you've got this!
