Putting together a list for my hospital bag, have I forgotten any essentials or is there anything on it I really won’t need?
The Marnie bear is his little sister who was stillborn last year. We’re taking her bear with us so she’s with her brother when he’s born 🤍

Would recommend adding some maternity pads, hair bands (to get hair out your face), spritz for bits/perennial bottle (first wee can sting), breast pads in case you start leaking, flannel (to wash and if it gets hot), dark towel, makeup wipes/face wash , toothbrush/paste, maternity notes, if you have any piercings spare piercing bars, bag for dirty laundry, long charger, lip balm (especially if you’re gonna use gas and air), snacks snacks and more snacks
I’ve got breast pads and maternity pads on there but everything else is a great idea thank you! Xx
As well as the women’s maternity nappy knickers get some regular maternity pads as they prefer you to use them to begin with. You can get a pack of Asda own brand which work well and are cheap. Also you won’t really need Sudocream because the baby is born with a natural protective layer it’s only like a few days after to a week after you should start using it. You’ll be needing cotton wool because you use that and warm water to clean newborns bottoms after they’ve been born to begin with. But that’s all I can think of other than snack and drinks and obviously your maternity notes
Lip balm in case you use gas and air! I was advised that to take some as it can dry your lips out xx
Phone chargers as well xx
People have already suggested most things, but I’ve heard it can get really hot, so perhaps a fan? Also I’ve heard it helps to bring your own pillow and one for your partner too along with a blanket in case they want to sleep. I’m sorry to hear about your daughter last year - I had the same in 2021 with my first. We’re going to have a much better experience this time! 💕
ahh yes great idea thank you! So sorry to hear about your loss too. We too are having a much better experience this time. Many complications with our 1st and this pregnancy is completely low risk but you and I know all too well pregnancy doesn’t always have a happy ending 😞. I’ll be thinking of you, hope you have a safe pregnancy and delivery. Sending all the love in the world. PAL is a tough ride 🤍
