Dent on back of baby’s head panicking
I’m always stroking my little ones head (3 weeks old) but today I’ve noticed more of a dip on back of head don’t know if it’s always been there but seemed to only really notice a dip today is this ok or normal panicking but can’t think how he’d be injured if it’s injury as is always laying flat or in our arms🥺

Babies tend to have two soft spots, the one on the top of their head, and then one on the back of their head too. The one at the back takes less time to close, but I don’t think it would’ve closed by 3 weeks so it’s probably this that you can feel!
@Liv I was gunna say the same. All those plates in the skull are still very soft. Most likely what it is
It’ll be a fontanelle 😊 if it’s more sunken then normal it could be a sign of dehydration, but they are normally slightly depressed so you might just be noticing it for the first time. X
When my bub was about 3 weeks old, I’d been feeding him in public with dungarees on. I sat him up after and he had a big dent in his head. Logically I knew it was from my button but panicked. Took him to a pharmacy as it was closest and they told me to go to hospital. The hospital basically said that babies skulls are softer and stuff like that can repair itself in a couple of days.
