Hi! Morgan, the doula, here. Your babies head is still fragile and especially sensitive to jostling. The brain is at risk for long term damage should anything happen. Throwing a baby up and down just increases the chances of something bad happening. I’d say stay safe and not throw them rather than being sorry later!

That being said- I feel like there a gentler ways of replicating the motion, since your baby loves it!! Holding onto their body while swinging them above your head might be safer since you are remaining in control the whole time (never letting go)!
