My baby is 8 weeks old and has such a horrible coughš¢ always worse at night time is there any tips on how I can prop the cot up without it causing any harm to her? Iāve been to the GP twice and they keep telling me itās viral and will settle on its own

I used to put books under the cot's legs or under the mattress.
Also, I made the bathroom very steamy, added some olbas oil in a hot water bowl and kept baby in there to breathe for 5 10 minutes and it helped massively. You can add olbas oil to baby's bath too or just have it in a hot water bowl next to baby's cot. I find it very helpful x

Thank you I will try this x

I thought my little girl had a viral cough from having her jabs, turns out she has Covid. Loads of milk and a bit of calpol before bed with a nice cuddle to sleep before she goes in her cot. If you want to prop her up pop a rolled up towel under one end of her mattress that should help. Hope she gets better soon š¤

She had her cough before her jabs, I didnāt think of Covidš¢ she doesnāt have any other symptoms and sheās really happy always smiling is your little girl poorly or upset with it? I will try that too, thank you!š¤š¼

sheās pretty well in herself other than coughs and sneezes. She had a couple of poos that were runny and one mucousy then back to normal. Sheās still smiling and happy all of the time. She had a mild fever for one day but that was after her jabs so could have been from that. She still has Covid but still sleeping really well going all night, she just needs a bit more cuddles before bed than before as sheās a little more grouchy about going to sleep at night but not much x

Awwwh bless her I hope sheās feeling better soonš¢ our gp has now diagnosed her with bronchiolitisš¢ x
