Hang in there! I’ve been on this journey a while too. Last time I did letrozole and the trigger shot. The doctor instructed me to bd at a specific time plus a bonus time to ensure that we have better odds. We were able to get pregnant on the first cycle, but unfortunately that baby didn’t stay with us past 8 weeks. I’m about to try again and hope we’re successful again. The trigger shot helps you ovulate and possibly multiple. Last round I was able to have 4 viable eggs. So your chance of multiple pregnancies is higher.
@Victoria thank you so much. I guess my insurance doesn't cover the ultrasounds so I'm using ovulation tests to figure out. I feel like it's less likely I'll get pregnant because of it. A other example why poor people have worse Healthcare 😞 I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so awful. Hoping for a sticky baby for you!
@Helena I can't afford the ultrasounds and they aren't covered by insurance. They want me to test with ovulation tests but I feel like this is going to mess up my chances. 😭
@Deviney I ovulate fairly late, so I think that may be a part of starting at 5. These doctors haven't addressed getting me on any progesterone. I think they don't give a shit about me because I'm poor and cam afford the ultrasounds either.
I did days 3-7. My doc told me the latest you can start is day 5 so that’s fine. So you will do 5-9 then after a few days you will start scans to see how the follicles are growing. I thought it would be quick but I needed 3 apps, you keep going until at least one is 18mm or more. Then depending on how well you ovulate you will be told when to start trying. I had the shot which he gave at the scan. I was told to do it the night of the shot and the next 2 nights. I did it Tuesday-Friday. Then he said from Friday start the progesterone as I’ve always had really low levels. I’m 11DPO today. He told me to test Friday and let him know the result. If you do take the shot you can’t test too early as it will read a false positive (although I tested day 3 and it was negative). Hope this helps.
