I must confess, I’m not actually having a free birth, I’m having a home birth with a midwife but I figured y’all could point me in the right direction.

Researching the cascade of interventions, the rest and be thankful period, really heavily researching breastfeeding and correct latch and first feeds, the stages of a normal physiological birth, transition stage, etc.

Ive been searching about stuff I want to buy on my registry. Also before and after care since you’re delivering at home. Look at some easy recipes too! And of course get to know Uber eats for your baby 🌙 time…🥰

I love listening to birth stories on podcasts from “the birth hour” or positive home birth experiences. It’s really inspiring and uplifting and beautiful.

I wish I could afford a midwife
are you sure you can't? Or do you not have insurance? Some insurance completely covers it, or like ours covered half, and then we used FSA money, so after all that it cost us about $2k, but we did pay $5k upfront. Some people it gets completely covered but I think they have a lot of phone calls with insurance to get exemptions and things.
