Premature baby

Hi,
My baby girl was born 3 weeks ago (at 36 weeks) & she started with SMA breast milk substitute (as I didn’t have milk). Everything was ok, until last 2-3 days. She is finding it hard to poop, straining the whole day, and her spit up is cottage cheese like.

Help?

My daughter was born 3 weeks early and I fed her as much as possible to encourage my milk to come in. Took two days to feed her as she was on CPAP and nil by mouth. Maybe speak to the Dr and see if you can change formula now if you can't feed yourself. Sounds like she's constipated and that can become very painful. X

My little one was on the NICU he had some cow ajd gate till my make came in, but managed to latch after two weeks tube feeding. If your still wanting to feed you might be able to once your milk comes in ☺️

Baby spitting up like cottage cheese is normal. Sometimes it's like that. Also if they don't poop for 2 days or so is not a big deal. It happens. My baby poops twice a day normally but sometimes she goes for 2 days without pooping. Keep an eye on her and see what happens today and tomorrow. If you're very concerned you can always contact the midwife and ask about it. Good luck xx

Health Visitor Home Visit

Hii, could anyone explain what the health visitor does on their home visit?

Also if anyone had a home birth, what the midwife home risk assessment involves?

I’ve got 3 home visits coming up in the next two weeks (health visitor, midwives and doula) and it’s making me nervous for some reason. I think having 3 just feels like a lot and a bit invasive if that makes sense!

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

Screeching baby

I have twin boys, 5months.

One is very quiet

The other... is like a pterodactyl who screeches when bored, tired, hungry, as soon as he wake up to be held etc...
This habit has only just started!

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it last?
So far it has been about 5 days 😭😭😭😭

Fighting naps

Does anybody else feel like they spend all day trying to get baby to nap? I get tempted to give up as he must not be that tired but he is too cranky to play or do anything else!

How are we entertaining our babies

What toys does everyone have for their 7 month old?
Nothing is satisfying my little girl she's got blocks, rattles, playmats loads more. She would much rather hold my hands and walk all day but I cant physically do that and whenever I put her down to play she just wont, is this just a faze?
