Dropped cup of tea on 1.5 year old

I’m so upset, my partner was looking after my 1.5 year old whilst I went for a wee, literally didn’t even get to the toilet before I start hearing screaming as she knocked a cup of tea on her

Fortunately I got back really quickly and took all her clothes off and nappy and she didn’t have any burns or redness I think because I got it all off so quickly

I still put her under a cold shower for a while just to make absolute certain, but she still has no burns or redness anywhere

Is there anything else I should do? She is happy again now so I think she’s fine

The cup of tea was about 5 mins out so wasn’t as boiling hot as when it was first made

Keep her under cold running water for at least 20 minutes and contact 111 immediately.

So this happened to my mom as a kid and she said what saved her face was that there was no sugar in it. I guess the sugar can make it bind to the skin and worsen burns. Sounds like it should be fine just watch for any changes in behaviour (pain)

Thank you both, I had her under a cold shower for about 20 minutes and luckily she didn’t have any red marks afterwards so we’ve just kept an eye on her and she was fine

The cup of tea wasn’t brand new so wasn’t as hot as it could have been, plus had no sugar in so maybe that’s why!!

So so so lucky yesterday it was so scary
