Partner going away for a week
Just needed a quick rant really. So my partner has just got a new job and he has to go and do training in a different city for a week( 3 and a half hours away) a week before I’m due. Honestly feel sooo upset and overwhelmed by it, am a ftm and the thought of him being away now when I’m not due is upsetting. He had a three week window to choose from when he starts aswell and asked me if I thinks he should start a week and a half after I’m due and I was like are you kidding me, you want to leave me alone for a week with a newborn. I get that it’s a good opportunity and will be good for all of us but I just feel so so teary and stressed about it. Anyone else partners going away close to their due date? How are you coping?

My husband is away for the 3 weeks running up to my section and then will only take 1 week off after the section... so I do get it!
Remember it's all for a reason and that he may also be feeling all kinds of guilt and pressure!

So my partner refused to let me go to a regional meeting for work 2 hours away as I would be too far away from him. Then the same week he got asked to play golf 1.5 hours away and actually had the audacity to ask me not once but 3 times if he could go.
It annoyed me because he couldn't see why I didn't want him to go. For me it can't be one rule for me and a different for him!
