And what's the plan here for toddlers who get car sick when rear facing?

I'd probably get anti sickness wrist bands and ask the experts in the car seat safety group on FB if there's a different seat that may vibrate less and sit in a different posture xx

What when toddler is histeric when is rear facing and trying to get out in any cost from his sit.
My son was so histeric and got really bad tantrums that I felt it caused more danger for me to drive, actually, by me turning the head 92945 times and trying to calm him down.

My niece gets sick regardless
What’s the long term solution?
The braets don’t work she’s near 3

I’ve signed it but it says let your local mp know when I click this it doesn’t mention how they would know

I have a compact car and the seat belt is not long enough to fit my car seat rear facing. I would need to sell my car to comply with this or get a new isofix car seat. It is not about just positioning the car seat. Cars don't even consider this.

This is bull open your eyes not every car can fit extended rear facing seats an allow a tall person to drive people with more than 2 children under 4 also can’t get 3 rear facing seats in the back of a car an most back middle seats don’t have isofix yes in a crash children are better off but omg it’s not always possible not everyone can afford a huge great expensive car, iv got a huge car an I couldn’t even get a child in the middle with 2 rear facing seats without them having to climb through the front or over a car seat

I’d rather my girl (who gets very bad car sickness, like I did and still do) was sick, rather than dead, so she will be rear-facing as long as possible. Any law change would surely mean manufacturers of both cars and seats would need to take child safety seriously

Something that I would like to add is that most children deaths in roads happen to children walking (70%) compared to children as car passengers (15%).
We need safer streets for children more than anything.
Whenever you find a project in your neighbourhood that attempts to improve streetwalks, crossings, reducing speeds, and building bike lanes, please support it or even demand it in your neighborhood if you really care about the safety of children in the streets. Safer streets for pedestrians and cyclists result in safer streets for cars and everyone really. Leading to less car accidents and casualties.

you had to input your postcode, that’s how they would know.

you don’t need isofix for the majority of extended rear facing car seats. Regarding fitting everyone in, you can place a child at the front etc
There are normally ways to make things work.

I have 5 children and I can assure you it is not practical to get 3 rear facing seats in the middle row an impossible to then get access to the rear 2 seats an you definitely cannot get a rear facing seat in the rear 2 seats an I am sorry I would not put one in the front with the air bag turned off even if it is legal, but most cars if the seats aren’t isofix they have to be on separate seats with gaps between them so you can’t put 3 in the back of a standard car your just giving excuses, everyone’s situation is different but my husband an eldest child are over 6ft they both sit in the front I have 2 car seats in the middle one facing each way then one in the rear with me an a teenager either in the middle or rear this works so that we are all comfortable but also when there aren’t 7 of us in the car an don’t have to move seats about

there are many people with 3 rear facing car seats at the back.
They don’t need to be on separate seats with gaps. I have a non isofix rear facing car seat and it uses a support leg and belt. I understand everyone’s circumstance are different.
