Smoking while breastfeeding?

Haven’t had my baby but I was told that it could be a risk so I still haven’t decision wether or not I’m going to but some ladies drink while breastfeeding so I guess it depends 🤷‍♀️

there aren’t rules like drinking alcohol bc they way the way thc is metabolized and absorbed is different.
first things first is they’re both psychoactive. but in different ways. alcohol is absorbed by your body and flushed quickly. and those numbers can give an estimate of how drunk you are. but thc is much different. once it hits your blood, it is now nonpsychoactive. it becomes an inactive chemical. it is still present, but it’s inactive and doesn’t carry any of those effects. whereas, as long as alcohol is in your system, you can feel the effects. but thc sticks in your blood longer. so you could once and still test positive a week later depending on the amount you smoked. but it’s important to note that it is inactive.
also, try to avoid tobacco. i smoked
joints when i breastfed bc i didn’t want to consume nicotine.
thc doesn’t have any effect on your baby because the way it is processed and filtered through your body. also change ur clothes,wash your hands, n brush your teeth

@aluna so you're basically saying I could smoke weed, as long as I'm not passing on any second hand/ third hand smoke? I've never really used tobacco, so that's not going to be a problem. Also, thank you for all of the information!
