Skeeter syndrome?? Mosquito bites
My 2 year old has several mosquito bites and they're bothering her so much (look at the size of the swelling😢). It's red and swollen and has fluid leaking from the wound. Any recommendations for a good cream or ointment that will calm the itching and redness??

Cortisone cream or Benadryl cream. I’m not sure the age limit for the Benadryl but over the counter cortisone cream is usually safe for even under a year. Also icing it will help! definitely looks like skeeter syndrome! I would even ask doctor about giving oral Benadryl. I have the same reaction when getting bit and it does get worse with itching and is super uncomfortable. Also if it’s oozing already make sure to clean it really well and try to keep covered so it’s not scratched with dirty nails.
Thank you so much! We applied cortisone cream and put a bandaid on it. i think it's getting better.
