I regret wishing away the newborn age because I felt so low and miserable... I wish I felt like I do now for the newborn age, so I could have enjoyed it just a little bit!
I also regret not continuing to breastfeed. Again, down to feeling so low and miserable!
I absolutely love parenting now, and my baby is just perfect, but these are the things I think of often, which makes me feel a bit sad š¤·š»āāļø

Absolutely! And I regret wishing away pregnancy. But then I try to remember all the good times to come xx

Yes! I was so miserable at the start it was I hard. I often have the same regret about wishing newborn stage away, but it was bloody hard and itās okay to have not enjoyed it because we had gone through so much change while also being in pain from birth.
I stopped breast feeding too. I did it for about 3 weeks and then combi fed till 8 weeks. I often feel bad about stopping but my mental health improved so so so much when I changed to forumla. Breastfeeding made me feel miserable and itās not this āmagicalā journey that people make it out to be. Well for me it wasnāt. But I remind myself that heās being fed so it doesnāt really matter and life is easier for me now he is on forumla. Heās happy on it so Iām happy too. You got this !!š

I'm here with you too but we have to do what is best for the baby AND ourselves. I'm glad you're feeling better now, long may it continue (:

Look forward, you canāt turn back time lovely. Youāve got a perfect baby, youāve made all the right choices for you & her evidently. Be proud of yourself for that, youāre no doubt doing fabulously still. Be strong ā¤ļø

The āMum guiltā is constant isnāt it! I was just saying to a friend today about wishing Iād made more of contact naps. I had family members telling me to put baby down or else he will only sleep if cuddled to sleep and now I wish I had more memories of those lovely newborn snuggles š„°
Thanks, everyone, for your lovely kind words. I really appreciate them ā¤ļø

Yes yes and yes. And I'm here saying this from the other side of it all, please don't dwell! Just enjoy it from now, be in the moment and soak it all up. It overwrites the feels, because it feels unbalanced at the moment but the more you do to make the most of it, it tips the scales (if that makes sense!)
I wish I hadn't given up breastfeeding my first and honestly that's the only thing that sort of remained, but it faded with time and once she was weaned, we had so much fun and once they're toddlers, you don't think about how you used to feed them!
I do admit, breastfeeding my second has been healing, and I'll always have that little niggling wish that I'd stuck with it (you may be able to re-establish and lactate by the way, but best speaking to a professional on that)
It gets better and look after yourself! Do some things for you.
I've been feeling a bit low this time too but trying to take as many photos, so at least when I look back, I can truly see what it was like outside the postpartum cloud.
